Email Alert: CDFA Meeting Notice—Final Comparable-to-Organic Cannabis Working Group Meeting on Nov. 4

The California Department of Food and Agriculture's comparable-to-organic cannabis program, OCal, is soliciting public input on its regulations. The fifth and final pre-rulemaking meeting will be held on Monday, November 4, 2019, from 10am to 4pm (lunch from 12pm to 1pm), at 2750 Gateway Oaks Drive, Suite 200, Room 201A, Sacramento, CA 95833. The California Department of Food and Agriculture is creating a cannabis program that will be comparable to the National Organic Program, the federal regulatory program that develops and enforces uniform national standards for organically produced agricultural products sold in the United States. California’s comparable-to-organic cannabis program will begin on January 1, 2021. Applicants will be required to hold an active state cannabis license.
